SYNOPSIS

Esto es lo que hay is a musical and political documentary that goes on the road to intimately follow Los aldeanos, the most contestatory and popular hip-hop band in Cuba, and the international spread of their music.

Censored by the government and prisoners of a dictatorial regime, it has been 10 years that Aldo and Silvito have struggled to be officially recognized in their country. Only the internet, still under governmental control, has allowed them to diffuse their music. Their liberation is the lead of the film.

ABOUT THE DIRECTOR

Independent director and producer, Léa Rinaldi holds an Audiovisual Master’s degree (Sorbonne Paris IV) and a Master’s degree in Literature (University of Havana, Cuba). Léa Rinaldi directed two documentaries about Jim Jarmusch: Travelling at night with Jim Jarmusch (2014), Behind Jim Jarmusch (2009).
